Interested in knowing what I’m reading/writing/watching on TV/listening to right now? Here’s a list of things I like (or maybe don’t like), that I update every couple of weeks as these things change.
Early June 2017
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling
I’m in the midst of my Harry Potter re-readathon right now! I post updates about my thoughts on each of the books on Tuesdays and Saturdays for now, so look out for them if you’re interested in keeping up.
Camp NaNo July begins in under a month, so I don’t want to force myself to write too much for now and burn myself out for that, but I’m setting myself a goal of 15k words for the month of June. I think it’s reasonable, and will help me kick start my April project again before picking it up again next month.
Honestly, I’m kind of between TV shows right now. I just haven’t been watching much lately with all the reading of Harry Potter that I’ve been doing and all the random wandering around my house that I do everyday (summer is quite boring without the freedom of college, yet I haven’t brought myself to watch TV. It’s like I’m so bored, I can’t even bring myself to do something that would make me not bored).
I’ve been listening to a ton of The Lumineers lately. Of course, I’ve known about them since maybe freshman year of high school, when Ho Hey was really popular, and I heard Cleopatra and Ophelia when they came out last year, but I’ve rediscovered them. I’m in love with most of their first album, from Flowers in Your Hair to Classy Girls to Stubborn Love to Flapper Girl and I just can’t stop listening to them. I’m so happy I gave that whole first album a chance.
I haven’t seen any movies lately. I thought I’d be watching more, now that I’m back in a town with a movie theater, but in my time away at college, I forgot that movies in the theater cost money, and that I am a broke college kid who does not have money to spend on movies at random. I did hear Moana is coming to Netflix soon though, and I haven’t seen that yet (I was too preoccupied seeing Fantastic Beasts during the time that it came out), so I’m definitely going to watch that soon.
